I am currently providing virtual sessions only through a secure portal.
I generally see clients by appointment Monday through Thursday. During your first visit, I ask a variety of questions to get a broad view of your concerns, including your presenting issues, history, physical health, daily activities, social life, substance use, and other concerns. From that information we can determine goals for therapy and if we are a good fit.
While I specialize in eating disorders and women's issues, I work with a wide range of psychological issues. I have been trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy which has been found to be effective with eating disorders, depression, and anxiety. I also draw from other theoretical approaches to provide an individualized approach for each client based on their presenting issues, symptoms, values, goals, and history. I have experience working with diverse clients, from older adolescents through aged sixty-five, from a variety of ethnic, cultural, religious, socio-economic and sexual identity backgrounds.
